Hi

Picked up my MY98 UK Turbo on Saturday. It's glorius, but the last 4 days have been bonkers, and got loads of dead bugs on the car, so I need to give it a good wash. Just concerned about the scoop on the bonnet. Should I cover the intercooler under the bonnet, just to prevent all the water from entering? Does that matter or not.

Also, any tips in general on washing a Scooby? Thanks

Never had to cover the scoop on mine and I clean it every week ,just be a bit carefull if using a pressure washer on the inside of the wheel arches (if you want to get that fussy)as you can blast off the underseal if you get too carried away.Try not to use wheel claener unless urgent , just wash as normal then put some polish on the wheels ,this makes cleaning next time a breeze.
Plenty of posts on here about which polish to use ...try a search
