Do any of you know anything about the new Impreza?
How can it be that no car magazine in the world has any info and pictures of the car, and it is due for luanch in May.
I know that the current Impreza was discontinued 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I know those photos, I hope the car will come out soon, Autocar says the car will come out this summer and the Euro version in England, on October I think.

 

I know it's always hard to accept change but my first impressions are (based upon Subarussian's URL) that I don't like it.
There are too many mixed influnces there for me; from Evo wheel arches and Legacy grille to Passat roofline.
Just too radical for me.
But then it's all personal taste isn't it? I mean some people buy Evo's don't they.....;-)

I must have seen at least half-a-dozen on the way into work and not another single Scoob - which was nice

I think (hope!) all the pictures seen so far are off the mark. Some will be similar, but details are bound to be sketchy - just a different front/rear light cluster can turn a total dog into the dog's danglies.

I've heard (and I'm hoping) the MY01 WRX (they'll all be WRXs, whether they're 225bhp Euro spec or 280+bhp - 6 speed - Jap spec) will look something like a baby Legacy B4 RSK.

But then seeing as a UK spec MY01 WRX will probably cost more than an import (twin turbo 280+bhp beast) Legacy B4, you might as well go for the Legacy anyway.

P.S. There is a chance the current fiasco over dealers (not) touching imports may sort itself out - the word is that the Jap spec car will be officially imported, all be it 12 months later. 280bhp, 6 speed, UK dealer back up. Now then now then ..... oh, and it'll be cheaper than a P1.

 

Will be launched in JAPAN in August and in the UK in Oct Motor show, or so I've read.
