Request a cheque and when it clears send the goods.
Must admit I tend to be a bit too trusting and send the items out straight away. Thankfully I haven't had any bad experiences. Would reconsider my policy though for goods of any real value!!
They could also pay cash direct into your bank account.

I'm not saying that I would do it, I deffinetly wouldn't.
Just sounds a little dodgy to me. After all, if people can live with their conscience then thats it, easy money. There is nothing the likes of us on Scoobynet or anyone else can do about it.
Suppose I'd better be a little wary when buying and selling on here.

Its one of them things you take a risk with.. so far in the last 6 months I have:
Swapped a set of 17's
Sold a set of 17's
Bought a set of 18's
Bought a set of Brembos/AP Fronts
Bought a Link ECU and all the gubbins
Bought a 3 port solenoid
Sold some 2 pots
Bought a Dawes
Sold a set of headlights
Never once ( touch wood ) have I had a problem - the guy I sold my lights to mailed me to say they had been smashed in the post. As I'm no cheapskate I'd insured them for more than they were worth so hopefully he's in the process of claiming back from the Post Office.
You just have to use you own discretion - for example I would never buy from someone who has just registered.. may upset some newbys but thats just the way it is.

And if I sent a cheque to someones home/ work address and never got anything in return....I think I might just be up there. Seems rare that anyone has problems on here. Although I never received a Subaru video that I paid for once but to be fair to the lad he offered me my money back. Was only £8.00 so it seemed more hassle than what it was worth so I told him to keep it. Think Royal Mail helped themselves to it/ conveiently lost it.

"Seems rare that anyone has problems on here."
or is it the for sale board is so keenly moderated posts are deleted. yes that is a bitter sour taste in my mouth.
doesnt matter what you do it can still go wrong.
i prefer to meet in person exchange cash/goods but you still have to rely on them turning up.
