O well summer is here you can tell in one simple way, that bend you usually go round, has become that little bit quicker. Don't you just love hot roads. Anyway there is a point to this, I don't drive my STI 8 on the edge, and usually just coast around when I am going places, but can someone please tell me why the tyres get so hot, it is really annoying as I have a gravel driveway, and as soon as I drive in they get covered in all sorts of stones, and twigs. Anyway enjoy the heat whilst it last, wish I could, but being out doing fitness in it, is more punishment than pleasure.

all depends on what compound the tyre is - the softer the tyre compound the quicker it'll heat up, there's more to it than that but i can't be ar5ed to go into it now
just look on the side of the tyre, there should be 3 ratings in a box for temperature, wear & i think traction - A being stickiest![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
