Unichip = piggyback / re-programmable chip, it intercepts what the values the ECU is giving and goes "nah sod that, we gonna do this instead" If you add futher mods on (cams, exhaust) you can re-program it to say, fuelling open slightly longer etc

Places that supply and fit are Owen Developments, G-Force and Millway.

Quite a few owners on the Fiat Coupe Forum have them and they are considered about the best chip for that particular car.

I have my P1 booked in at Owens on, wait for it, 23 september. They are booked up solid and that was the when they could book me in. I've been to Owens/Powerstation with a GT4, found Owens to be one of the best. Not knocking powerstation but I found Owens were friendly and very honest.

Regards

Kev

I can second all the good comments about Owens

They remapped my Unichip the other week and although they knocked 2 psi of boost off (running too much !) the car still came away with 20 bhp more than i started

worth trying them every coupla weeks to see if they get a cancellation - that's what i did .

THOMO

Have a search through the archives about the Unichip and also my comments regarding Owens.

IMO they are second to none on the Unichip as they have mapped more than anyone else.

I run my Type R with Water Injection for the last year and am very happy with the results.
Have had 2 previous cars mapped with a Unichip by Owens and was happy with both.

I have heard that its a good mod on STI's (Imports) using Owen developments and comes very recomended, with very good and reliable results.
Dont confuse it with the likes of a superchip, thats the death nel for a scoob and is sh!te.
Theres a chap i know of on here that has one on a Type R and together with water injection has around 320 reliable hp.
