Afternoon guys and gals.

I'd just like a basic input from as many people as possible please.

The for sale section is badly in need of improvement as I'm sure a number of us would agree.

In the suggested improvements forum, mods have asked that suggestions are not added until bugs have been sorted.

I'd just like to start a poll with one word answers stating which feature people feel is more relevant to have sorted urgently.

FOR SALE or BUGS.

I'll start it off......

I'll say "for sale" as I've not experienced any bugs...

 

Doesn't make sense, every1 complains in the for sale section that it needs more options.

I know you all must have an opinion so why no posts?

they are not within my control, looking through a few pages of for sale is well within my control

 

What bugs? I'm all for splitting For Sale into slightly more logical subsections (possibly along the lines of the Technical forums), as it'll reduce message rotation and thus make people less inclined to post btt's all the bloody time.

If there were fewer btt's, I'd imagine there'd be fewer bugs and outages as well

 

I would say Bugs. There may be bugs that we don't know about that Simon and the guys fix without us knowing!!

Example:
There may be a huge bug that made the whole of the Scoobynet BBS crash after we had posted say… 100 message in 60 minutes. If this was not fixed when it was planned (as bugs are currently the priority) and we hit that limit, we might all get locked out of Scoobynet It does not bear thinking about

Cant realy see the problem with the for sale section.

If your looking for you own post, add youself to your VIP list.
If your looking for a part, use search.

If someone is looking for a part, they "will" spend the time looking through pages and pages of for sale goods to find what they are looking for, or use search.

Don't want the for sale section to become stagnent either with too may forums?

 

I think the sales is working ok too but then i live on here 24/7. But i do have another suggestion, i would like to see a column saying "last poster", ie, the thread telling you "who" last posted, i can never remember the time/how many posts it was before i posted last then end up checking my own post LOL.

 

I think the for sale section should be broken into "Cars" "Parts" "Non Subaru Cars & Parts" & "Non Auto" also maybe sub divide that as well.

I also think it would be good to have a for sale page where you could pay to have your car advertised on a page that doesn't dissapear after half an hour, or maybe just pay for a sticky post. Thyis would save all the famous "Top" posts to keep it up there.

 

well hows about if everyone stuck to the T&C`s there would be half as many ads therefore less problems with ForSale....

just a thought, and on that note I would say bugs

we are the members, therefore we should be the ones selling goods to each other, whats hard about that?
