Thinking of getting a importing a car from japan. Thing is no one really seems to know (or checks) whats been done under the bonnet i.e. mods etc which obviously affects the cars value and insurance purposes. Just wondering if there was a way to find out or does evryone just import 'blind'

Ive had a stunning Sti 6 Type R V-LTD, a Skyline R33 GTR and now moving onto my third car from Newera which will be an R34 GTR. Their service is second to non.
