Subaru Corporate Experience
#1
Hi,
I have just been offerd a place on one of the above 'track' days at Castle Coombe, The leaflet is vague about how much track time is involved, but says the day is split into
1) High speed passenger rides - Fast Laps in WRX's driven by instructors.
2) Circuit driving - in Subaru's with instruction
3) Outdoor Go-carting competition.
4) Off road driving in Isuzu troopers
5) Driving skills test
6) Vehicle Manouvering
The price for this is $145 on 29 Jul
Has anyone been on one of these before, and if so was it a)good fun, b) value for money?
Bye the way just been told the PPP kit I ordered is in , apart from an exhaust gasket and intercooler hose!
Cheers
Tom

Yup....normally great fun....I'll be at the track for both days...tho alas I'll be working ;-)
The normal format is basically get to know the cars on track with a few other bits and pieces to have fun with...
Just been up at Knockhill with the team for 2 days which was great.
If you haven't been to Castle Coombe and haven't had the chance to experience the cars on track then com along....get the chance to play in the WRX and STI for a while and hopefully take in the sun as well ;-)
Roll on next week...he he he
Rum*
P.S. Mine will by the stickered beast parked up outside the main restaurant ... and I'm the balding git that will be wearing the Subaru gear and no doubt talking insurance.....(we like to try and keep the adrenalin down so I come along to bore you all stupid......see you at the track!!!

I was @ the Knockhill event with Tom (Rum) on Thursday and would thoroughly recommend it, especially if (like myself) you have never experienced track before.
We were split into four groups of approx 12 and each group did one of four events for quarter of the day and this format worked well with minimal standing around waiting for your turn
For me, the highlight of the day had to be sitting in Rums car LOL ...joking aside, it was being driven round the track for 2 laps in the Prodrive 300+bhp Sti8 + PPP + =
On the second go I had, I asked the Prodrive driver to give it some welly and he sure did not hold back Superb
See my pictures here
Cheers, Jon
