WHAT SHOULD I BUY? I know the power differance is only 10bhp but i get the feeling that the sti is a little more hardcore.if i do get an sti then i know i would be paying an extra £1500. and then it would probably be standard.plus my insurance would be an extra £300.I'm not sure!,,,,..what is the real differance../..what would you reccomend?

The STI has got a lot of extras and the version 1 will become a real classic eventually. The suspension is better as is the engine which has been hand built by STI.

Leslie,
the original V1 STi had no engine work done on it, the ecu was remapped as far as i know, but i think it was the v2 that sti started doing work on the engines, when the power jumped from 250ps to 275ps.

steve-nairn-sti with the v1 scoob, wrx power was 240- whilst the sti was only 250-......and then from 95 the sti jumped up to 275-obviously you must be with another insurance comp than from who i got my quote, cause they do want another £300 for the sti.
