Thumbs down

I have following story to tell:

I wanted to buy a sensor from shop.scoobynet.co.uk, I contacted them via e-mail in last days of May, got instructions how to send them my credit card details and we agreed shipping address as well. So far everything went well - in e-mail from 05.06 Pete Croney reported, that "it will leave in the morning"(very clever, he didn't explained which morning, but I understood, that it will be next morning).

As I didn't received the sensor, I asked about it after one week, in his reply from 12.06 Pete said "I will check this out. I am sure your order has been billed and sent."

Nothing changed again for a week and to my next question Pete replied on 17.06 "I'm really sorry but we ran out of the boxes last week and our new delivery has not arrived yet. I thought that your order had been sent from the last delivery, but it had not. It will leave today or tomorrow."

No changes again and on 23.06 Pete answered to my email: "I will speak to Paul and see what has gone wrong. I will correct the
situation." PS> I have no idea, who is Paul, but it seems that he couldn't do anything to help me.

Now I started to call: on last days of june, Pete finally confirmed(after about 4-5 phonecalls), that now finally things are moving in right direction and the sensor will be shipped tomorrow. I believed.

07.07 I sent again question to Pete, wheter my order has shipped and received on 08.07 answer: "No, I must wait for new stock, which will be here on Thursday"

On thursday, 10.07 I asked, has finally the sensor shipped and I received answer: "It is delayed until Monday :-("

On 15.07 I asked the same question again I received answer:"It will be with you in 3 days."

Today is 22.07 and of course, I still don't have the sensor. As my online credit card statement shows no deduction for it as well, I barely believe, that it has shipped and is still on his way to me.

I really don't know, what to do?! I don't think that I should send him again an e-mail and receive an answer like, it will leave tomorrow, etc. But I still need that sensor. I don't understand, how people can do business like that...

Any suggestions?! Comments?!

Just to make sure things are clear.

Anyone can browse the products advertised through scoobyshop (in this case, those of ScoobySport) and then use the facility to contact the supplier of those products. If you are a plus member you are entitled to discounts on all those products when you contact the supplier. ScoobyShop does not sell anything itself, it is merely a conduit for others to advertise their products as long as they offer our members a discount.

All the best

Madis

Despite us mailling each other almost every day, I will explain, again, here and hopefully clear this matter up.

I had initially thought that we had sent your order as I had sent one to Estonia. It was not yours and we then ran out of stock. Normally, our manufacturer has these already made for us and we get them within a couple of days of placing an order.

On this occasion, there has been a delay with the manufacture of the O2 fix boxes. Stock was ordered when we ran out, but has still not turned up. The manufacturer is doing everything he can to get these to us, but he has been waiting for a component that is required to finish them.

When I get the boxes in, which should be tomorrow (Thursday), I will bill your credit card and post it to you.

Whilst I have explained this many times, I may not have made myself clear.

I hope to have your box with you very shortly.

Madis, consider yourself lucky, I've been waiting since 1st May for the O2 fix. Its ok though as I ring (Paul) every two weeks or so and get told either it was sent out or it will be with me within a week or so. I then reply saying, well just to be on the safe side I'll ring you in another two weeks to make sure you haven't forgotten me and so this goes on (and on), think I'm stuck in a recursive loop. That said I don't have any problems with the advice and other bits I received and our conversations have always been light-hearted, if nothing else it gives me something to look forward to every fortnight….

Bruce

PS I paid for mine back in May……

BruceR - seems, that scoobyshop didn't ran out of boxes not just before my order. Anyway maybe there is a chance, that sooner or later the check engine light will not lit on my car and that's not, because I have cut the voltage from it
Peter - I have MY01 WRX, blue one. With exhaust from scoobyshop)

I think there are quite many scoobys and some evos, I have heard somewhere, that estonia sells enormously many scoobys compared to population. It's not possible to identify those quys, you described without knowing number plates...
There are not so many older evos(4,5,6), because it was not possible to buy them from local dealer until last year. I think there are no evo 4-3-2-1 street cars at all. So older evos are self imported.

Good news and bad news...

They are made, but the person that bakes them to cure the potting compound has over cooked them and melted them

4 or 5 have survived and have been bench tested OK, so at least I can satisfy some of the oldest orders, but the rest are scrap.

So frustrating.
