uprated brakes/warranty question
#1
OK, have an MY03 WRX, currently financed with a 'maintenance' option included (tyres, servicing, consumables like brakes included) as I use the car for work as well as pleasure.
Have an 'airfield' day coming up at the end of August.
Ideally want to have a uprated set of disks/pads fitted for the event (at my costs) and then have the 'originals' put back on the car so that they are replaced as part of the maintenance agreement (and vice versa for a future airfield or track day).
Assuming the above doesn't sound like complete bollocks:
1) is there much advantage in going for the Pagid Group N+ kit over Pagid 8 groove disks and fast road pads?
2) if the Pagid Group N+ kit is fitted will the uprated brake hose lines also have to be removed when I swap back to the standard disks/pads for fear of invalidating my standard Warranty?
Also looking for someplace to do all this swapping work for me (I am not technical when it comes to cars [hangs head in less than manly shame])...was thinking of Scoobysport as they are in easy driving distance from me and seem to have fairly good prices. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I can recomend Scoobysport had my Pagids done there with no complaints
As to the warrenty last time I had my car serviced they said the brakes were getting marginal both Discs and Pads did I want standard Subaru parts or the Better and Cheaper Scoobysport Option
I would think that your servicing company would not worry
HOWEVER they may be a little concerned that you are tracking your car

I know (track daying the car)!
My front (standard) pads are due for renewal in around 5,000 miles, so definately can't use them for the day as Bassingbourne.
I've sent an email to Scoobysport for a quotation, I guess that I want to keep on the right side of my warranty/maintenance agreement when my car get's it's next service (or pad change).
Do I understand correctly from your post that your normal servicing dealer was not bothered that you had fitted Pagid products, in terms of your warranty?

I had TSL's Group N front brake upgrade fitted on my Scooby (pads, discs, hoses and fluid). My Subaru dealer didn't mention it during the couple of services they did, although there was no warranty work required.

The only Warrenty issue IMHO would be brake failure then the supplier [i.e. Scoobysport,TSL,Extreme whoever] would be covering it
The dealer can't refuse a Warrenty claim on the clutch for instance if you have different brakes
They will obviousley refuse a claim if you say for example that the disc's have warped

Thanks for the responses.
Guess I'm trying to get both worlds out of my Scooby without one neccesarily affecting the other!
Warranty+Maintenance on standard parts for work driving
Better disks/pads for 'other' driving!
