Yawn, this sounds like the infamous pslewis which is better car Mx-5 or a Scooby thread, from about May time this year.

Both good cars, both have strengths and weakness, and can't really be compared to each other.

I hope to god he stays on that forum for good. It keeps him off our backs
I wondered why his inane ramblings had diminished all of a sudden, no time to post drivel on two BBS's

I thought that MX's were driven by hairdressers or very feminine guys taking their toy poodle for a wash and blow dry, please correct me if i am wrong

Nothing wrong with the MX5, Its great car for it's catogery, so no point slagging it off,

You buy a scoob for the animal in you, coz its a pure beasti all round.

you buy a MX5 to relax and enjoy the country air

why people just can't accept that.........

LMAO at PSLewis
I wouldn't expect you to have heard about the Impreza - its a fully fledged MANS car ............ no need to worry your pretty little girlie head about it!!

Its a car for those who know the difference between a gearbox and the contents of jewellery box!!! And that includes the 'Blokes' on here who don't know a great car from merely a good one!!

I would LOVE to see a sorted MX-5 see off a sorted Impreza ........ it just ain't happening is it now??!!

Pete

Can someone point out where the following parts on my car are, I seem to be missing a few:

anti-lock brakes
electronic brake distribution
active differentials

Also someone mentioned the electronics driving the car for me, I think I've been ripped off, mine doesn;t even have a clock

Anyway, comparing the MX-5 and Scooby is ridiculous, one is driven by highly strung, egotistical, image conscious hedonists, the other is a small open top sports car

LOL,

Nice thread!

Pete, the driver of the MX-5 wouldnt be able to see off the scooby as they would be too busy laughing at the gold wheels and stupid oversized spoiler on the supped up shopping trolly
Obviously this guy has nooooo idea! Not all have gold wheels

Oversized spolier?!?! Obviously the guy has no comprehension of what Downforce is and how it helps drivability at higher speeds!

Shopping Trolley? LMAO, Obviously doesn't get out much to not know one of the greatest rally cars of all time! Shopping trolly my a$$! Try looking at some of the Nova's!!!

I miss PSLweis and his ramblings, its a shame he`s not as appreciated on mx5 site as he is here.

Comparison between the two marques is futile, different cars all together!!

And the owners can get really bitchy, the cows!!

I think they really want to start something

Or be just another **** in a Scooby who can only rely on the basics? The challenge has been thrown down... consider yourself slapped with a gauntlet!

It gets worse...

Now why on earth would I want one of those, Phil
I am already confident about my sexuality and, as they say, the size of your bhp doesn't matter - it's how you use it that counts

that is going to be a classic thread .
they are getting very upset , must be something to do with the fact they are all in their 40+ and trying to recapture their youth
i would rather drive an audi tt than an mx 5 they are toss and how peeps can stick up for them is beyond me .

we all drive cars which have the same running gear as a world rally car and the sti is pretty close to the real thing .
(i know the type r is the base prodrive use)

have mazda ever entered a rally?
subaru in recent time have made the rally of GB their own.

the only motor sport i can remember mazda competing in is btcc in the xenos 6 and i think le mans (sure i will be corrected)

Mazda 323GTx turbo? that was a pretty good rally car if I remember correctly. Mazda won the Le Mans with the incredible 727b, there are also plenty of GT class rx7s racing in various worldwide championships.

These guys on the mx5 board must really be Mazda enthusiasts... I mean the 323 GTR has spoilers all around too and could be called a shopping trolley and what about the (Mazda Speed)Capella who also has a big wing on the trunk....

Just focusing too much on the MX5, I don't think they know, or are even interested, in cars like the RX7 etc...

PMSL - Good point - except that all but a very few spoliers are carefully designed to produce zero aerodynamic downforce so they dont upset the balance of the car

Deano

p.s. I have a WRX, wifey has an MX5 - On a summers sunday afternoon its the MX5 everytime , Cold wintery, wet morning I'll take the WRX thanks

SPie.
Did I indicate in any of my posts that I didn't support PSL's cause? No, I didn't you fool. I merely stated that he is being as obtuse as he is on here.

p.s.

Don't you ever, ever, pull your tongue out at me again you little boy
