hi gang
i agre it was a great couple of days at castle coombe
the chance to drive so many different cars and actually
learn how to take the twisty bits on the track was really
helpful
quote from one of the instucters
"you dont need to brake for this bit
we dont call this a bend.....it is just a kink"!!!
the 4 X 4 was good fun .....thinking of swaping the
sti8 for a trooper!!!.....not
i would also like to thank tom and mike wood
for spending most of their lunch time on the second
day looking at and sorting out my ecu.......
it cant be everyday you get one to one
help from mike when he has just been lapping
castle coombe in well under 2 mins!!!
thanks again mike and also jason from C.V.C
for organising a really fun couple of days
andy
tom ..i thought you could count.....as long as it wasnt over 20
with your shoes and socks off....lol

A big thanks to all the people who arranged the Subaru track day at Castle Combe today.

Highlight of the day (see post in Wales section for itinery)was being driven around the circuit by Mike Woods in a STI 8 PPP. To say Mikes a good driver would be the understatement of the year - sideways everywhere (at very high speeds) on the track (ala Tiff) - Brilliant fun

Made me realise just how hard it is to drive a car "really" fast

Excellent day all round

Paul,

Just got home after a B**ch of a trip....glad you enjoyed the day...

The Subaru lads put a lot of hard work into trying make the days fun...

Harvey France, Mike McIntosh, David Cassidy, John (mechanic), the supporting Dealers (of which there are many) and other unseen assistants.... + Mike Wood from Prodrive, all the staff at Castle Combe....and obviously not forgetting the pro drivers/instructors....and myself (not sure if I count )...

We had 2 great days....and glad you and hopefully everyone else enjoyed it

All the best

Tom

B&C didn't quite get everything(although 1 guy seemed to be collecting all sorts of prizes),

I (CVC) got 1st for Karting (my fastest lap I think was 25.80). Someone had to do something for us taffs.

Any idea how much that day would have cost per person (as CC charge £125 just to drive around in a WRX, whereas we drove Forrester,WRX, STI 8, and did Karting, Off Roading, Driving skills (cone) course + finesse(ball) thingy + breakfast/lunch and got a drive with Mike Woods in STI 8 PPP. I guess it would cost us approx £300 to do all that.

Paul

P.S. Mike - how many crashes have you had to get that good at driving sideways
