what is E approved and what does it concerns off?
this is for rear lights sorry

It's some kind of standard applied to products which are deemed acceptable for road use. Don't know how strictly it's enforced though.

It's a European standard as far as I know. Put it this way, I wouldn't be putting bits on my car if they weren't 'e' marked and approved.

As said above.

I also believe a lot (if not all) of Jap imports come in on non "E" tyres and therefore won't pass the SVA test.

I have a feelin' the Afterburner lights ive just fitted are NOT 'E' Approved

First copper with an ounce of sense will certainly advise me So i'll probably safe

Be assured if you come into contact with an insurance assessor he will go to great lengths (or may just let the insurance Co. know) to let you know that such and such an item is not "E" approved and may have contributed to you claim (i.e non "E" approved lights, bulbs etc and your insurance is invalidated. ::
