this would get best replies in drivetrain... however I've never heard anything good about them on scoobs. There supposed to remove the fuel cut which in itself is a very bad thing. iirc they fool the ecu into what boost the car is running (They make it think its running lower than it really is) and therefor can cause it to run lean.

But I'm sure theres some more knowledgeable people to set you right

i've also got a problem in that the boost dosnt seem smooth ( a bit lumpy while accelerating). could this be because of a lean mixture due to the superchip? this happens at half or full acceleration and weather engine is hot or cold

If needed does anyone also know if removal of a superchip is something i could do myself.

Dunno about that, but I guess you are aware that you could very well be uninsured at the moment unless your insurance co knows about this? Hate to be bearer of bad news if you weren't

I have a superchip with bleed valve fitted and also have variable boost throughout the rev range on 1/2 or full throttle. Spoke to scoobysport who said the fueling is ok as my UK classic runs rich anyway. The problem seems to be the bleed valve. I have looked at other threads & bought into an idea on there that seems to make a bit of sense, as its completly controlable to set perameters each time, & its do it yourself. The link is http://autospeed.com/A_0670/cms/article.html The audi DIY boost control part 1.
Any coments on this would be helpfull before I start fiddling

Personally I would not touch any piggy-back ECU chip. Best to stick with replacement ECU's or PPP.

Plus if you have just 'found' it surely it has not been declared to your insurer? Lose it quick

Cheers
