Armourfend opinions and experiences wanted
#1
Having had a number of stone chips on my Scoob, I am toying with the idea of getting Armourfend put on the front of my new car.
So, just wondered if anyone, had any experiences good or bad, of it, and whether it is a good idea and worth the cash (not that I know how much it is yet!)?
Cheers

I had it fitted to my STi8 when I got it back in March.
I have been impressed with it, as it definitely does what it says on the tin. I have noticed some of the edges of the smaller bits of it peeling back a bit and getting dirt in, but it is not noticeable. I also rely on it to protect me from cars knocking in to me as I live on a road where the spaces are often not that big and the other drivers not too good at parking!
It cost me about £600 to have put on and i would strongly recommend it, especially on a new (or newly painted) car.

it's ok but does deteriorate over time - stones take big lumps of it off as well as the paint. this does mean the paint lasts longer but makes it dearer to have resprayed as they have to remove the armorguard before they begin

The only thing to remember is that stone chips can still happen further up on the wings and bonnet. It makes a big difference but the Subaru paint is really thin all over and therefore it is not 100% effective.
