Hi Ian,

I know the area, thats gonna be some trek each day!

The main problem will be the clockwise traffic around the M62 junction with the M66. Your best hope is be early, very early! You could try the M62 Whitefield exit, head towards Bury and take a right at the lights just after a Walker Farrimond Volvo dealership. If you intend to use the M56/M63/M66 route, the traffic problem is mainly around Stockport. Again, timing.

With regard to car safety, its no worse than many other areas and better than some.

Sorry its not better news but you would have found out anyhow

Hope it goes well,

Steve.

Didn't someone have their car hijacked in a supermarket car park at Pilsworth? Rings a bell...

As for travelling I'd recommend going round the M60 anti clockwise.. I do it every morning from Stockport to Bolton and it takes about about twice as long going the other way...

Talking

have lived in bury for 20 years
Yes there was a carjacking at pilsworth Asda

Also a friend of mine was carjacked in a scoob 2 miles from pilsworth , about a year before this asda job

However dont be put off by this!!!!!!!!!

The area isnt as bad as it sounds
I would have no problems parking at pilworth
In fact have parked many time late at night in the cinema car park.

The cinema at pilsworth do have patroling guards
For you to get carjacked is unlikely, although there is nothing wrong with being cautious.

bury is ok as far as i am concerned
