Wink

There I was driving down the road, when I saw another RB5 coming towards me, so as would with any other scooby I gave a quick flash of the lights and a wave. I got no response, than I realised I was in my other car not a scoob)!!

Made me feel pretty silly, am I the only one to have done this.

I've done this too - in my wife's old J reg Seat Ibiza!!!

and her slightly newer Escort

yes, I felt a total fool.....

Even moreso when I parked on the drive (Scoob in view) and waited for the Escort's "turbo" to cool down!!!!!

Strange really coz my other car is a SEAT Alhambra TD, which has slightly different driving characteristics to my RB5!

I usually do it when I'm on my mountain bike.... Lots of bemused Impreza owners in Yorkshire, seeing some maniac on a push iron, grinning and waving

ScoobyDoo555 - sounds familiar! ...it usually takes a "your not in the Scoob you know" from the husband while I wait for the Corsa to cool down

I feel a bigger t1t when you wave at a scoob (whilst driving a scoob) and the other driver blatantly ignores you or shakes their head.
What's that all about?????!!

Cool

I just feel sorry for the ones who don't respond, as they obviously are unaware of the happy community spirit enjoyed by us Scooby drivers...

My brother thinks it's cool that we (almost) all acknowledge each other - reminds him of his days of driving VW Beetles.

Seems to vary by region. All the Scoobies I flashed at in Devon (on a recent excursion) responded. Only about half bother here in the Midlands.

Fantastic, i'm not the only one then. I was out jogging the other morning as a nice Scooby came towards me and i gave him the thumbs up and waved and he just looked at me gone out, as you would expect really. Great excuse not to get up and go running in the morning anymore though.
