"Hit a big bird in my STI 8 on way home from work"

That'll be a blow for Sesame Street.

Seriously though, I had a Phesant or some other game bird fly out of a bush in front of me while I was doing about 80 once in my old Corrado, gives you a real fright ! It hit the left hand side of the windscreen and stoved in it by about an inch - let's hear it for Windscreen cover - £50 for a £500 screen. The windscreen fitter asked if I had gone back and picked it up for my dinner !!

I hit a black bird (or something) on my STi8 on the way into work, luckily it mostly hit the piller in the middle of the air intake under the number plate. Luckily, as I had just changed out of fourth at maximum revs!!! It could have made a large expensive dent! The worst bit was getting the remains out, made a visit to Wickes and had to buy some plastic disposable gloves - besides being warm it had a distinct cooked smell about it. Poor bird, but at least it was quick, very quick.

Forgot, I also hit bird in my my97 classic. I did not no i had hit it till i got home. Its head was stuck in the grill under the front indicator. It was jammed it there very tight. I had to pull it very hard to get it out and its head came off. Really messy. Took ages to get the blood and guts off the car.
No Damage to the car. Just the poor bird.

Hit a Fox once on route to Maidstone in my Mark 3 RS Turbo.... What a bloody mess that was. I hit hit square on the front doing 80 plus.. Ripped the front Splitter clean off and dragged it uner the car.... Trashed the front bumper and totalled the grill...

My missus was going mad... Silly cow even made me scoop the frigging thing off the road onto the pavement cos she reckoned it wasn't right to leave the poor thing there.... I just picked it up by the tail and lifted... What was attached came with it.... what wasn't stayed in situ...
