Having had my baby driven into on Tuesday (*******), I thought my 30th birthday week was going to end on a sour note. Luckily my MY03WRX PPP was installed today to put the smile back on my face!

PPP ordered mid July. Car was dropped off at Marlborough Subaru, Isleworth at 9.45am today. Phonecall at 3.00pm to say that the car was ready.

On picking up, noted that (1) Car had been cleaned (definately thinking of getting my servicing done here instead of Quenbys in Baldock) and (2) what a large and attractive rear pipe my car now had (sad I know).

Shame there was not a camera on my face when I started the ignition! There was the sound (low, deep 'naughty' rumble) that I had assumed my scoob would come with as standard.

Never have I enjoyed revving my engine in traffic so much and driving around in underground car parks is almost obscene!

Impressions? Guess I can sum it up by saying that although there is not an instant extra 'thump' of power (although you can definately tell there is something 'extra' going on), everyhing in the car now happens a bit more, how can I say, 'frantic'. Bends come up quicker than before, gearchanges are closer together and a full blast from 3,500 revs in 2nd car, changing into 3rd (road conditions and limits permitting) is pretty tasty.

Can only imagine what an STI with PPP feels like.

Will try and post a few pics/short movies if people are interested.

My advice - if you haven't got one, order one...if you are waiting then look forward to delivery (even if it takes a bit of time) and the last point - the wife hates it (job done then)!

BTW, does anyone know what the following listed items were as part of the upgrade invoice?

1x Gasket Perf Pack
1x EXH Bolt P/Pack

The new gasket goes between the back box and the centre pipe.

The bolt is used between the Decat and 1st downpipe..
Why? The flange on the old pipe that has been removed has 1 bolt hole instead of 2.. Where the 2nd hole is not a hole, it has a length of threaded rod.. The new pipe has 2 holes, and that is why the replacement bolt is required.. (Difficult to explain in words.. Doh)

You can see the threaded stud in the flange at the right hand end of the smaller of the two pipes.
