Okay Guys and Ladies, a bit of advice if possible...
Had my WRX for 4 weeks now (bought new), and have just discovered its rusty!!
Its only a tiny patch just where the spoiler connects to the boot, but its a bit worrying. The dealer wants me to bring it in (obviously), but what should I expect?
Will they just use a 'touch-up pen' or will the boot need a re-spray?, my worry is that I don't know how bad it is under the spoiler...what should I ask them to do, bearing in mind its a brand new £20,000 motor?
Cheers,
Deako.

RON,
Thats what confused me...its almost as if the paint has been rubbed away, but for the rust to show, it must be down to the bare metal. It is the tiniest of marks, but deffo rust.

Definatly demand a new bootlid, you are the customer. Tell them that you want to see what is under the spoiler don't just take their word for it. This has to be classed as a fault and as such needs a replacement, don't let them fob you off or bully you into accepting a "fix". If this were my motor i wouldn't accept anything less.
