Got myself my first scooby a few weeks ago, MY99, 36k miles, 1 owner and in immaculate condition.

Being all but 21 the only place I could get insurance with is Tesco for £1,600 fully comp and I had to have the good old Tracker fitted aswell to help keep the theaving scum at bay!

The car is out of this world, in another league to that of my old Dimma kitted 106 GTi and shall take alot of getting used too...

A couple of things concern me, the fuel consumption is all of about 250 miles per £42 of Optimax - is this normal!!!??? I fear so

I was at Crail 1/4 mile on Sunday just past and my best run was 14.2 secs @ 102mph is that good for a standard one?

And finally a big hullo to you all!

Thanks for the comments, Tesco came out tops, I thought £1,600 was quite resonable after some people quoting 4k plus!!

Looking at Evo Fact File figures the 14.2 @ 102mph is a good un, there test figures are 14.6 0-100mph

Does running on Octane booster do any harm to the engine, have been using the past couple of tanks and makes a noticeable difference?!
