managed to give the drivers door a severe bashing on the way out of the garage this morning and I'm just trying to figure out worst case scenario in terms of cost...
So, anybody got a clue on the total cost for a new door (fitted)?
ps. it's just the meatlwork, all fittings etc fine

Get a door from Grade A or Townend Garage for around £100 (bare) to £150 (complete) and get a local bodyshop to paint and fit it. ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I'm in my other office ! but I'll call down at lunch for a nosey.
Somewhere I've got the name of the guy who does all the Subaru Dealers Paint jobs for our area.
I'll dig it out.
Can't mail it at the moment - lotus notes server has crashed.

I had a new door fitted after someone reversed into it AND a new passenger when someone did the same last year. The first cost below £600 all-in (drivers door), can't remember the cost of the 2nd was around the same amount. I'm sure I still have the quotes for the insurance companies if you want to see the costs.
Not sure now (coz this was a good 2.5yrs ago), but the door itself was around £190+VAT brand new. Time involved swapping it around, especially the wiring loom and glass. They should fit new rubber seals.
Then there's the spraying on top of that.
Can't see why a new door should costs anywhere near £1500.
