I went along - although I do not have an Impreza.

Got in for free, which was a bonus! As was not queueing to get in or out.

Your mate was not totally blameless for his accident, he did have a though shall not pass attitude after his problem, although I think his spotter may have been guilty too!

They already have some footage of today on the website, although none of the big crashes.

Hehe, i got in for free too, courtesy of Derek, he was indeed flying, fastest on the day by a mile, still, he WILL do better next week im sure of it.

I dont think ill blame his spotter, baring in mind he's one of my best friends.....but to be fair i dont think there was anything either he or derek could have done anyway, there was nowhere to go that i could see....oh well!

Any other folks there??

It looked like he moved down on the track to stop the guy getting past on turn one.

I sat right at the top, near the spotters - fantastic veiw!

BTW did you take your car in the infield?

I saw one drive out DBM with gold wheels?

No they couldnt get hold of another car pass for me, so i stuck it outside, i think mine would have looked quite inferior in comparison to some of the motors that were there!!

I watched the race from the HTML garage, so thats why i couldnt see a great deal. Ill have a aword with him about it in the week anyway....still, good stuff!

Question

What does your car look like then?

Unfortunately my main guys (short circuit oval guy's) Rob Speak (went out in the same accidient as your man) and Andy Smith can expect better days.

I cannot wait until they have 30 car line ups. They already have the best facilities, I can honeslty see it being the most watched national motorsport in the country - it can't be far off now!

Mines just a standard 03 WRX

Rob actually came in to the circuit with us this morning, as he was in the same hotel and his spotter had run off to hospital i think!

Top man too, unlucky also, was running well.

Oh and i agree about more cars, it was a shame today because i thought the attendance would be higher, it was my first time at an ASCAR race as it was, the racing is so much better than a traditional circuit i found........much much more going on.

Long may it continue and grow i say!

I support Rob Speak, unfortunate today, but it happens I guess. Used to cheer him at stock cars so he'll always get my vote.

And er, Triple 8? Who the f***???

(Clare - obviously getting well old!)

Good God, I am in trouble!

Thing about ASCAR is that it gets a bit boring when they're not crashing into the wall, each other. Second race today seemed a bit less exciting for that exact reason. Not trying to sound like I like violence or blood shed, but it's right isn't it?

Rob Speak's crash was a blinder!
