Declutch at 70mph, engine stalls

Question

If I drop the clutch & freewheel at 70mph or above, the engine cuts out. Scary! Is this normal? If not what could the problem be?

MY99, std bar Prodrive exhaust & induction kit.

Induction kit has knackered your MAF i would expect. Mine did as you said, had to have MAF replaced. I had warranty tho

Sounds as if the MAF is fubared.
Try borrowing one off a mates car and see if the problem persists.
