at the moment i have a blaupunkt orlando head unit, a sony 4x80 watt amp running jbl 16.5cm components in the doors and a sony 2x100 watt running an alpine s12 sub in the boot.

for the economies of weight would it be worth ditching the amps and sub and running the doors direct from the h/u?

the reason i ask is that i find that more and more i am not useing the stereo when driving other than when going for a "muppet" round town when it is nice to be able to deafen the pissheads on the footpath[evilsmilie]

all views greatly welcomed as not for the first time i'm being undecisive.
