Plugs aren't that difficult to do - I did mine when I changed my leaky rocker-cover gaskets. You need to remove the air box, and the water reservior (wiperwash).

They came out pretty easily.

If that's what it is of course. If it is, I'd wait a few weeks and get the dealer to change them for you whilst it's being serviced.

Good luck,

Dan

Unhappy

intermittent fault , occassionally car is very hesitant, had it pulling away a couple of times but normally when goin up a slight incline doin 30 in 4th ie engine under load, occassionally. seems worse when the engine is warm and slowly seems to be getting worse.

dippin the clutch, revving it and trying again seems to cure it (or changing gear) but when i did this last night, i got a pop sound from somewhere (presumably unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust), so i'm thinkin a plug on the way out or a loose plug cap.

(already cleaned boost control solenoid at the weekend)

car has fssh and last service (67.5k) was 5 months ago.

any advice welcome. should i just change the plugs (never done it, looks a *mare*) ? how much would a dealer charge to check things over and change the plugs ?

(next service due in a months time or so but doesnt appear to include plugs - 71k : my 67.5k was done early as i do only 10k a year or so)

cheers

mine did soemthing similar, changed the plug leads, then garage changed the MAF sensor, still there though, not using that garage anymore.

soemtimes when the A/C kicks in you can feel the loss of power so don't look to hard for faults!

Have you tried Single Point Ground?.
