dullest Q this week - wipers?
#2
If you thought "how to clean scoop" was bad....
or what does "Fuel Flap >" do?! don't read on.
The wipers on my new WRX03 PPP (have to write that last bit don't you)are crXp. Suspect they may have wax left on from transportation.
Any advice on cleaning wiper blades?
or perhaps they are just crXp?

Take 'em off and clean them with detergent in the sink. Treat the screen with Rain-X before putting back on. If that doesn't sort them, take car back to dealer and get them replaced...

Have you used Rain-X before? I find that in light rain / spray the wipers always leave a smeared out area where they sweep over it. This is just an undesirable effect of the Rain-X treatment - not a specific problem with the wipers or any contamination. In heavy rain or at high speed I rate it as excellent though.

Can't recall the brand (Ombro or something) but had wiper problem before I applied it. Agree re light rain & sort of smearing affect - but this is much worse with annoying semi-uncleared section in centre where two wipers intersect.
must start another thread about towbars before i nod off

until I found this site - I rarely washed or waxed car.
Now I have gleaming Scoob having taken the advice and used Autoglym polishes
so now I try NOT to drive in the rain - as car never been so shiny!
Mmmm - is this perfomance site becoming middle-aged: wipers, fuel flaps, towbars, polish.
It'll be driving gloves next (string-backed with WRX logo)
Might suggest a group buy
