I know its a daft question but I love the car to bits ...its just that tail !! I’m assuming I can put the WRX one on but I understand Id be left with some holes in the boot lid so could put on a complete wrx boot & Spoiler
Has anyone changed their wings or know even if the wing is needed? I’ve seen some pics of a guy in the US with an STI who has a clean bumper. Looks cool.. Have a look in the Silver/Silver pics...

Would the car be ok without a tail? does the spoiler actually do that much or is it more of a WRC statement? The bloke at the Dealship suggested that the wing is only cosmetic
Thanks :O)

There's a use for the spoiler at speed it provides downforce, not around town though and not at normal "legal" motorway speeds!
If you get a direct replacement one that goes over the same holes (I would think the wrx one would), then there'll be no holes and hence no change of the whole boot needed!
There are other spoiler options out there if you want something unusual (wouldn't take it off though - for resale if not for anything else, it looks a little strange without any IMO).

yep it's really easy. I removed mine within 4 weeks of ownership.
instructions:
1. find a nice open area
2. put reverse gear
3. back fairly hard into a lamp post
it looked a bit daft so had it replaced within 2 weeks

I think you will find you have around 8 or 10 fixing holes in the boot to secure this spoiler....... if you want a low level or pro drive spoiler fitted you will need to change the boot lid as well as these only have the 4 fixing points...... but as Brun pointed out someone on here and maybe even the same colour car will do you a swop.
