Basically, i'm picking up my impreza tommorow, from the importer and getting a guy I know, down here in S.Wales to convert to UK spec and mot it etc.

Is it ok for me to drive the car, even though it hasn't been mot'd or sva'd yet and has not been uk registered.

i've obviously got a license and insurance certificate and it'll have the chasse number on plates to drive home.

reckon i should be ok?

any help, much appreciated

Exclamation

Not certain, I think there is an exemption if travelling from home (direct route) to and fro 'MOT' Station, but HAS to be booked in.

But not sure if driving it straight from the importer to 'MOT' station would count . I would imagine, if you were driving sensibly and proved 'booked in' would be a hard nosed Plod to book you Driving silly, Plod might use this as an excuse to book you IMHO
