Hi, found out about this site from a fellow member who stopped me in a petrol station last night. Think he said he was Triple X but not sure. Have just got a brand new STI and have only got 110 miles til its run in so can't wait to get the first service out of the way on Friday. This looks like a good site and look forward to coming to some of the meets.

Thanks for the welcome Yoza, unfortunately not an Optimax station as was running seriously low after being out most of the night trying to get the miles done.

Must be a couple of Tripple X's.
The one I know lives in Lancashire and as Yoza's correctly pointed out he's sampling some grass cuttings in Amsterdam, so he couldn't have been in Surrey as well (although his mind might have been )
Chris
P.s. Welcome and enjoy - What was Tripple X Driving ?

Maybe it wasn't then, this guy had a foreign accent and the garage was busy so couldn't really hear him properly, I just thought he was going to stop and say the usual "nice car for bird....".
He said that he used to have a scooby but had a Z300 or something, didn't see what he got into as pulled away.
Its been a right pain having to change gear every 2-3 seconds to keep it under the 4000rpm looking forward to opening it up soon, I am going to Old Trafford on Sunday to watch the footie so will have plenty of chance to try it out.

Not John (Tripple X)then, although Lancastrian is sometimes mistaken as "foreign" by some southerners.
LOL @ Old Trafford - I can see the headlines now "Woman stranded in Manchester as thieves take car at gun point"
Chris
P.s. Only kidding - its only that bad after 8pm.

May be female, blonde and southern but known a northern accent from a italian one.....!!
Was a little concerned but am parking in Old trafford ground rather than back street so hopefully will be ok.
Alternative headline "Mancunian gun wielding gang run over by woman driving newly run in STI"

You managed 1000 miles in 2 weeks you must have been going some. Have been doing trips to the coast most of the weekends and a couple of trips to Brighton in the evenings after work. Still only 110 miles to go now and then freedom.......

Charlie,
It was probably XT who lives in Kingston (and it would have been a Greek accent!!)
Any way remember to wave at a black Pug 306 with a Scoobynet sticker in the rear window!

Thanks Andy, could have sworn he sounded Italian but then again it was busy in the garage.
This looks like a top site and will be going to the next Newlands Corner meet and am also tempted by the Blaine drive past.
