I've got a 95 wrx import and a greddy turbo timer.
On that the speed sensor wire goes to the ECU under the passenger carpet footwell. Not sure which one it is as it was a long time since i installed it. If i've got time i will have a look and see if i can descibe it to you.
Hope that helps.

Forgot to say that i think it is only a safety device.
When wired up and you remove your keys and try to drive off it will cut the engine dead. Stops people driving off in the beast when it's still running. Same with the handbrake wire (brown), when taken off with keys removed it will also cut the engine.
You will probably still be able to use t timer without them wired up. Will take a look still and let you know.
Also try greddy web site.

i know its only a safety device but would really like to remove any chance of someone having my baby away! Have looked on the GReddy site but doesnt have any info on Impreza's. Just a warning saying make sure that you connect it to the right one or deep poo poo can happen!? Not sure how but wanna make sure.

lift passenger carpet, you will see a metal plate, undo metal plate with (now I cant remember if its a spanner or philips) tool and there is your ECU. If it's not there then you have a sport !!!!

Cool

all fitted now guys, all working as well, does the speed cut-out etc. Excellent! Thanks for all the help. Just waiting to see some english instructions for it! Dont suppose you know where to get some. The Greddy web page only has those for the normal timer. Not the full auto one, and there appears a few subtle differences in how they are operated
