Have any of you guys and gals ever tried a course with Ride Drive?
I had "The Advanced Handling Skills and Advanced Road Driving Experience" package bought by my Bro and his g/f for my 40th back in July and did the course yesterday.
I have to say it was fantastic. The course teaches road craft and there's a session on a track/airfield where you can explore the handling your car properly. My instructor is a serving copper in the Notts Armed Response Unit and hat's off to these guys, they really know their stuff.
The course consisted of some motorway work, a spell in towns and lots of twisties. Loads of emphasis on hazard perception, defensive driving etc. Spent a lot of time on positioning on the road for when *cough* making progress![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I learned a helluva lot about my capabilities and my Scoob's. I knew these *****'s had grip but holy sh$t![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

These guys are a big hit with the Pistonheads TVR crowd and I can see why (shame we can't get the reduction in insurance premiums though).
IMHO this kind of course is much more use to me than, say, a Prodrive Live day (wouldn't turn one of those down though).
Reckon I've given 'em enough of a plug, maybe they'll give me a discount on a follow up course.
Edited to add that I was totally knackered when I got home 8 hours later
