I know this may of been asked before, but can somone quote me the "correct weights" (kerb) (I know some can be optimistic) in KG of the scoobs?

The ones i'm interested in are the different versions of the original Stis...4-6 and Type R/RA versions???

I need them for my basic theory spreadsheet that uses formulas (now reworked for road/tarmac peformance and typical transmission losses). I've been working (and amending) on these for months and they will soon be on the net, hopefully with the option of the user increasing bhp for theory results, just need to add all the data (1000's of cars, inlcudes all 4wd, rwd and fwd peformance cars with different formulas for each tranmission type) and get my IT mate to help design the page etc.

Also, anyone know the correct weight of the new Spec C?...autocar quote it at 1300kg with 322bhp, where as Evo mag quote the exact same car as 1380kg with 335bhp? I assume both of these are Kerb?

So far i've got the following Scoobs, which produce the following figures using my basic formulas. These are all theory figures on the road/tarmac (not dragstrip which gives more traction). I do not allow for gearing, aerodynamics or torque becuase I'm trying to keep it simple with easy obtainable data (so some will be a few tenths out but its for ALL cars not just scoob) but weight can be a pain becuase certain mags vary. Here's a sample:

model Yr BHP kg bhp/ton 0-60 0-100 60-100 1/4 Mile Terminal

Impreza 2.0 Turbo UK 98 215 1250 175 5.7 16.1 10.4 14.44 @ 95.30
Impreza P1 98 276 1302 215 4.7 12.6 7.9 13.41 @ 103.78
Impreza RB5 (PPP) 98 237 1235 195 5.1 14.2 9.1 13.88 @ 99.45
Impreza Sti 6 98 276 1275 220 4.6 12.4 7.8 13.32 @ 104.37
Impreza WRX 01 221 1410 159 6.2 17.6 11.5 14.96 @ 92.54
Impreza UK300 02 242 1385 178 5.6 15.5 9.9 14.33 @ 96.76
Impreza WRX Sti 7 Type UK 02 261 1470 180 5.5 15.0 9.5 14.23 @ 97.95
Impreza WRX Sti 7 Type UK PPP 02 305 1470 211 4.8 12.5 7.7 13.47 @ 104.24
Impreza WRX Sti 7 (Import) 02 276 1430 196 5.1 13.7 8.6 13.81 @ 101.05
Impreza WRX Sti Spec C 03 325 1380 239 4.3 11.1 6.8 12.95 @ 108.49

So does anyone know the weights? or can point me in the right direction?

its only 35kgs

Could be that the P1 wheels are heavier i.e 17"

Dont know if the p1 has alloy front wishbones like the imports, could do..

Does your type R have fog lights..?? or just blanks..???

WRX saloon 1230kg (type RA 50kg less)
WRX STI 1300kg (type RA 30kg less)
Do not think that correct, the STI has light weight bonnet, alloy intercooler no driving lights etc.. cnnot see how its heavier than a WRX 70kg does not make sense.

The import sheet for my MY95 WRX Type RA has the weight down as 1180kg gross (total inc everything, fuel etc) this is also with a full 6 point saftey devices rollcage.

What was the weight of a UK scooby?

Cheers

Paul

Don't forget all the toys - extra 42kg by my reckoning.
windows - 3kg
locks - 1
ABS - 8
Aircon - 17
Airbags - driver+pass - 13
+ probably another 10 for stereo, speakers, changer, an amp etc.
ie 1280 ish for a uk total.
All from general technical pages of :-

STI has an extra diff at the front - accounts for a lot of extra weight.
