Does anyone have a whistling noise above 140 mph wondering what it was, sounds like a bee on heat. sti ppp.
track days off course.

Got car and whats the noise, didnt have it in a cozzie at150.

May be not, but you didnt have to stop in the scoob to pick all the bits up, did you.

Mine howls at speeds above 120, Im told its the wing mirrors, but I dont know for sure. It sounds like someone blowing across the top of a milk bottle, but 50 times louder.

I quite like it, when I take someone out(on my private airstrip) and they havent heard it before, I grip the wheel and push myself back into the seat and screem "shes breaking up!, shes breaking up!" works every time.....

I havn't had it in my MY98... done 160mph but havn't heard no wistling sound or anything...

its probably to do with some bodykit part or something?

I did read of a similar problem somewhere on the net a couple of weeks ago. In that case the culprit of the noise was a sticker hidden in the wing mirror somewhere.

The so called phantom noise happended to me the other day for the first time ever I was kind of puzzled to what it was as its never happend before at high speeds, All I thought it could be was maybe the road surface. ?
