New Scooby Pics

Check out today's edition of Autocar.
It has the new Scooby pictured on the front and an article inside.
What do ya think?
Personally, I think it's a radical move ultimately for the good, but which will definately make the current shape a classic (as if it wasn't already!), like the old Audi Quattro. That car still looks great, 20 years on.

This is the first time I have seen the new car. Do they not get people to look at the designs? Based on these pics my next car will not be an Impreza But it makes me more happy with the one I own It looks like so many other modern saloon cars now. Who are they trying to kid? Flared arches, the 22B and EVO have flared arches, that has Focus arches. It just does not evoke the same passion in me! I remember the Performance Car magazine titled 'A taste of McRea on your drive'. Classic

This is going to sound a little odd unless I'm missing something (possible)...
I saw a new suzuki saloon in the car park at peterborough station yesterday that had a very similar face to the new legacy (lights and grill). Not as big as a legacy but looked quite like the pictures of the 'new impreza'.
I thought that Subaru was sharing the 4WD technology but are they sharing styling ideas as well?

Anyone else think that the front looks similar to that of the Lexus IS300 ?
And the back looks like a Hyundai.
With the arches of a Focus.
People resist change, and so not many are gonna like it. It's OK, I guess. Agressive front, with big deep spoiler.

Are these pictures real "show-car" or FHI press photos? I don't think so! I can't help thinking that AutoCar has just taken the latest poof pictures and given them the once-over with Paintshop to remove the incorrect facets. A couple of the pictures in the same article look distictly dodgy!
I think the most realistic representation we have at the moment is the airbrushed version of the actual spy photos taken of the car while out in testing. This car actually looks okay (bit like a baby legacy) and fits in with the rest of the range.
Lets hope this IS a hoax. Maybe Otis and Jonathan can verify if these were the pictures they were shown by the marketing types?

Pics are fake fake fake, just 2 things that are very obvious, rear wing on cover photo is blatently painted on afterward, and the rear view of the silver car has 2 3rd brake lights, one in boot and one in rear window. There was a very good deconstuction of these pics on the i-club BBS a couple of months ago.

Well, if I wanted to drive a Ford Focus look-alike (wheel arch dept) I'd drive a Ford Focus. Ummm, on second thoughts, perhaps not.
If the actual is anything near the computer generated images in Autocar, then I'll stick with the 'old' model!

very interesting
i hate its looks however should handle alot better than the current model or otherwise why change it!!!. probably the 280 version will be the dogs b****cks in the performance department ( should really beat the 2yr old evo). theoratically we should expect the same performance difference as between the EVO4 and EVO5.
so although it looks **** but if it delivers what it promises then i want one.
