Hi I am just about to pick up my wrx sti (and cannot f****ing wait). I ordered it from Widnes (many thanks to Steve and the guys and good luck) but have to pick it up from another dealer in Warrington, who know nothing about the car. I have booked my first service with Monks Heath, they booked me in for November 3rd which will give me 2 weeks worth of driving. Will this drive in time be enough or should I book it in a week later. All advice taken and many thanks in advance.

Hello ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Well of course, it depends how much you drive - in my case it took about 3 weeks or so to get up to 1000 miles for my WRX - ended up getting it serviced at 1003 miles IIRC.
But then I dont use it to commute to work daily (although it is driven most days).
On thing is though, even keeping the revs down they're so fun - perhaps its the anticipation of things to come.![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
And it is certainly easy IMO to rack up miles - and as it was my first Scoob I found this run in period was great to let me accustomise to the car etc.....
I you think it is gonna be a bit short, maybe organise a day out somewhere where you can rack up a couple of hundred miles or so?
One things for sure - once the car is run in and the mileage starts building up, its very hard to keep it down![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
edited to add: just in case you weren't sure, the run in period should be 1000 miles (or at least it was for my WRX, and I believe the STI is the same![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

You could always join the peeps on the Blackpool lights run, should add a few miles and you may even pick up some good info.
Just don't ask Yoza for directions![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Check out the Northern section for more details.

Clocked up 1000miles in two weeks with my new STi8 no problem!! In fact I stopped using it 2 days before the service so it didn't go over 1000!!
Service was carried out at about 980ish if I remember.
