My work colleague has i microlite and i have used his fuel a number of times,min 100ron guarenteed.anyone else tried it??

Doesnt Aviation fuel contain lead still?

yes, loads of lead in 100 octane (100LL) avgas, it also contains bromine compounds which could be corrosive to the engine if not nutralised by additives in aviation engine oil.

it also contains bromine compounds
..which, if drunk will also stop you getting an erection!

has any1 thought about putting pure methanol into their fuel for a bit of a boost?!?! if so where the hell did you get it!

Aviation fuel doesn't have the same duties levied on it, so you'll get in trouble with Customs and Excise.

One thing aviation fuel doesn't have in it is water because of the risk of freezing.

100LL has loads of lead in it! (hence the LL suffix).

At approx £0.96 a litre I'd question why you'd want to use it?

One benefit on Avgas, is when flying cross channel to france, is that you can claim back the UK fuel duty on 100LL. Trick is to fly to say Jersey on lowish tanks (not too low...), fill up with cheap low-tax fuel and then claim UK tax refund on the entire flight, double bubble! I doubt whether the inland revenue would allow the same for a car running 100LL !!

I didnt use it in my scoob,in my RS1800.
And it didnt cost me a penny.
I was just curious to see if any 1 had used it in a scoob.But judging from the comments i guess not.
