yes I got that fecking spam as well.
Must be trawling scoobynet for e-mail addresses !
not many places have my legit e-mail addy for this very reason.
Is there any system in place within scoobynet to prevent this from happening ?
I realise it's not going to stop manually searches,
but was hoping something was there to stop the mass mailers grabbing everones mail address?

Thought as much. Not sure whether it would work, but can we suggest SN readers deliberately ignore this website until its owner, one ************ of ***********, apologises for the spamming and volunteers to change policy? Awful looking site anyway...
As to the wider issue, the only way to prevent this on SN ATM is simply to hide your email address, although the downside of this of course is that people who want to send you legitimate email can't.
The only way round this is to build an email engine into the SN bulletin board software, so people can click a button to send you mail, but don't actually see your address at any time. A question for Scoobynet Policy then, although I daresay the reason it doesn't already exist would be due to the extra bandwidth and server loads it would impose.
Must admit it's been years since I've published a working email address on a public forum - and I'm still being spammed on addresses I haven't published/used since the last century!

I visited the site because I didn't get spammed with an email. Is that OK? Will I be revisiting the site?
