A shame for the Red GTO though I think the clutch had gone on it, wasn,t that much smoke so engine should still be ok.

Let me guess powder blue in colour?

Just had a new engine in it, built by Harris Performance Engine, they do some awsome Pinto engines.

isn't that the norm if someone beats a scoob in a straight line, everyone comes on saying you can't beat them round bends or when its wet.

Given enough cash/time/effort you can do that to any car. It not a Nova anymore its a track car.

Even so, I thought it was amazing to see a Nova beat a STI in a quater mile. I didn,t think it could be possible but it was.

There were some top quick cars there today, and some not at all like you'd expect, like the Starlet, and the Nova. But there were about 3 skylines that were seriously quick sub 11 sec machines.

Never been to Santa Pod before and it was awesome to see these, think I might have to go again 1st Nov when the proper sub 5 sec cars come out to play, that must really be something to see.

Had a great day out.

To be fair to that nova don't think it was running anywhere near its true potential as it was only running 13's and should have been way quicker than that? was supposed to have 600bhp+ or something?

The Nova has allready run low 11's...

It kept relatively close to a Skyline in Ish's site a few posts up, the skyline is proven 650bhp @ the hubs...

So yeah, its pretty rapid, not any scoobs over here than could touch it I dont think, especially when its running right

yeah it was . It had 2 engines in and a 6 speed box. Best time I managed was a 13.1. Bit dissapointed but loads of bits inc FMIC, LInk going on in the next couple of weeks

Kudos to the guys to created the twin engine'd beasty.

It's pushing things a bit far however to call it a nova though is'nt it though?

I suspect the only thing 'nova' left was the body shell and some instruments. I.e Two calibra engines, non nova transmisson, non nova gearbox, non nova suspension and non nova clutch etc

Therefore IMHO it's a lightweight drag car with a Nova bodyshell. That 700Bhp Puma falls into the same catagory too IMHO.
