Pint of Milk & a Scooby - Aaaarrgh
#1
Over the weekend did about 400 miles including 6 hours spent in Ding City or Brahead shopping centre as known to many. Despite a few close calls no mishaps took place. Drove home into the house and unload the Scoob. Time to start putting the Ikea cr4p together. Wife then says she's off to the shops to get some milk. She'll just take my car as hers is all tucked up in the garage.
Comes back an hour later to inform me that she's had a ....bump...
Rear bumper and light on one side smashed. How did it happen I ask. She reversed into a taxi but its only got a broken light and a couple of scuffs. Ok I think not too bad, possibly a couple of hundred quid plus a light, no need to trouble the insurance. When I asked her which taxi as I know a few of them here, guess what its not a taxi, but the taxi firm owners 5 series BMW!!!!!
I'm going to see him later. Oh and something I did'nt realise as she is a named driver on my car it would be my no claims that gets hit. If she claims through her policy it is only 3rd party cover so still have to pay for my own motor.
Oh well.

It's only a car so what is the differnce is she drives it? or maybe it is more manly if you had a slight mishap in it, which of course your never going to due due to your far superior driving skills. My 5'2" girlfriend drives my Scooby and if she crashes it the insurance company will pay for it.

Wurzel - thats the major problem. If she crashes it, it's my insurance no claims & premium that is affected. Not hers. If hers is used it will only pay out for the other car damage. As I said before. Aaaarrggh.
And what I forgot to say in the original post was that on the way into town I asked if she wanted anything from the shops. "No" was the answer.
Alas
