Question

I have been running my 93 WRX on unleaded since Ive had it (about 3 weeks) I keep hearing conflicting stories as to which kind of fuel to use...if I need to change to super unleaded do I now need to do this ECU reset if so what does it involve.

I would agree with the mossy one.

But I'm actually running my WRX Wagon on premium (ie normal) 95 RON unleaded.

Why? well I've been told by others that it should be OK due to the Wagon having a lower ps than the saloon, eg; 220PS for the Wagon and 240 ps for the saloon.

Go Super

I have a 93 WRX and it ran like a dog on 95 Unleaded, 97 Super is better for it.

ECU reset, just upplugg the battery for a while.

Best thing to do so I have been told is to get the car's ECT set to run 95 but keep using 97.

Cheers

Thanx for the advice guys, it looks like this scooby is going super on next fil up....

Just to clear a few things up on the reset, I just fill up with super then take it home undo the battery for like an hour then take it out ....do I take it easy or toe it around??

Run it as low on Unleaded as possible.

Fill it right up about £30 - 35 depending how daring you are.

Drive home, un do battery wait.

When start ir up let it warm up drive it for a mile or 2 too warm up the box axels etc then boot it and enjoy it, dont forget to let it cool down over a few miles before parking then let it run for a good 5 mins before shutting it off.

Cheers
