MY03WRX - recommended jacking point (trolley jack)

To change wheels...assume it is the same as per previous threads for different models??...
Front = underneath towing eye mounting or bolt attaching suspension to chassis
Rear = diff (with a piece of old carpet/wood to prevent scratches)
Thanks.

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
pretty much.. dont use wood to prevent scratches.. more chance of it slipping.. carpet would be fine, but I wouldnt bother!

Just so I'm 100% clear on this, have I correctly circled the right front jacking point in the picture below:
The rear jacking point in this picture
and finally the right 'bar' to use with the axle stand?
Excuse the newbie questions, mispent childhood (too much TV and videogames)

Whoa! The "bar" you have circled in the lower picture is the rear driveshaft. Don't put an axle stand on that, or indeed either of the lower transverse links as you'll bend them.
The best place for rear axle stands is probably the bolt that secures the trailing link into the shell, or, if your stands are long enough, one of the bolts securing the rear subframe into the shell (you can see one of these above the rear driveshaft in the lower pic).

Greasemonkey - thanks for the info...didn't seem right when circling it at the time - glad I posted now!
Is the bit with the blue arrow the right place?
I assume the other 2 pics are ok?

Lol! You should have got the mechanic to head-butt the dent back down!
Silverback - yes, the bolt head you're pointing the blue arrow at is the correct one.
As for other pix, I'm not too "up" on the subframe thing under the front of the new cars, but the bolt you're showing at the front should be alright. The one I normally use is the one that bolts the aft wishbone mounting bush and caster block into the chassis.

Extreemly helpful thread - the pics say so much more than "the one that bolts the aft wishbone mounting bush and caster block into the chassis" (no offence meant to greasemonkey).

Just found this useful URL, but am suspect about the axle stand positioning.
