Went to the rwyb today, ive never done it before was a bit nervous before i got there cos theres usually some crazy powered cars there! My mates Saxo VTS Turbo blew up on his first run!!! he was gutted!. My times below was hoping for mid 13s but it never happened! Some were done in the rain!

P1 clutch I was reassured by members off here that i met today that no damage would come to my car! it performed well im just disapointed with the times and i need to work on my reactions!

 

The car accellerates off the line so quick its unbelieveable! was only just hitting 100 when crossed the line tho

 

Don't worry about your reaction time, this won't affect your 1/4 mile time, just make sure you've got your revs right so you don't bog down.

done a few runs at crail today,not impressed as i just spent Ł300 to finally get my full decat and it never made any difference.
it seemed and felt quicker on the roads but on the strip it wasnt what id hoped for.

Look @ the times for the Honda-Type R's they were in the High 14s mid 15's and that's considered a fast car!

You looked to be going ok for a 1st ime attempt and fairly standard car. Well done

Mine was not running right today, clutch was slipping, and i think the rear diff is about to die.

why thank you martin, neither can i, but my constant average is now 13.1 with the new launch technque

so i rekon its a pretty safe bet

 

Didn't run mine yesterday...
Just took loads of photos!

 

good fun allround
i did what i wanted by a small margin (i wanted 12.9999999 lol)

1st run saw me get 13.06 with a slipping clutch (5.5k launch)
second run saw me drop the revs to 5k, no slip worse time 13.58
did another close one with 13.07, tried tweaking the dawse a touch, times would not drop, kept letting the car cool down after a few runs, then i decieded that i would get my best times with loads of start line revs and a slighlt clutch slip so lined up and did a 6k start, no slipping clutch, slight bog, took off and managed 13.12 (i will never suss on these dam clutches)

took sum advice from my mate who was doing blinding starts in his uk turbo and pulled a 12.97 from the bag, had loads of people foneing me, running over and genraly shouting it from the rooftops :P

did about 19 runs through out the day, thats getting on for 50 runs in total, clutch/drivetrain is still fine 71 000 miles now

i need to go outside and wash it now, my poor baby got such a hammering yesterday that the little rubber trim that finnishes of the front spoiler popped out LOL

good day by everyone i spoke to, most people arrived with new mods and beat there best times, there was a few daft people there tho

one bloke supposedly had a big powerd MR2 turbo and bragged to my mate for about 40 mins on "how u get big power from these cars" my mate slaughterd his times with a filter, dumpvalve and a bleedvalve

another driver with a blue 17k sti, asked on arrival to our convoy point "whos is the fastest car" mine was pointed out and he said "thats who i have to lash all over then" he did not lol

unlucky for the bloke in the sti6 who came down with us whos car blew up
