Was talking to a fellow scoobynetter today at a meet and he was telling me you can choose a different backbox when you order the PPP rather than the prodrive one without affecting the warranty and has been done.
Anyone else know of this.?

Unfortunately I have to agree with Jza, if you replace any part of exhaust warranty is up the swanny ![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I have also heard some dealers will fit a WR sport B/Box claiming to be Subaru/Dealer offical part so warranty is uneffected
but maybe just a Dealers view and not Prodrives, I am not qualified to answer that
B/Box shape and tone has always been a personal choice and find it a shame that PPP can't accomedate this
I tried my 'old' Magnex B/Box on my PPP'd Sti7 on R/road and got 1 bhp less to PPP B/box and Torque readings we =
but I prefered the look and sound. With no performance gains what harm can it do !!!!!!!! so one up for choice ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
but warranty will be Viod if it remained on ![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
There are many performance enhancing 'Free flow' B/b's, like 'Storm'etc. In Prodrives defence they can't say yes to this B/B and no to that B/B, so said no to all. Prodrives view maybe harsh but we all buy PPP because of Warranty not for Bhp per £ upgrade. Rules are rules
IMHO AFAIR IIRC etc etc.

If Prodrive have developed the package with the exhaust options they put in the box, then how can a dealer even suggest their "option" is better than Prodrives? I think someone has got their wires crossed a bit.
Stick to the full PPP kit, as said above, there is then no problem with any warranty situation. If anything is changed, then you are giving Subaru an easy get out clause to void any issue.

If i have to forego the warranty the buggers going on.
Just to clarify for everyone.
It was stated that a dealer gave the buyer the option when having PPP fitted they could have a choice of TSL firestorm, HKS, Scoobysport BBs instead of the prodrive bb and pay any extra costs necessary. Doing such would not invalidate the warranty, The dealers name was also given.

Then the dealer is de-frauding IM.
Fact is - if you buy a PPP - you do so BECAUSE ITS WARRENTY FRIENDLY.
If you don't give a monkeys about the warrenty - then why bother with a PPP when a full exhaust and a Ecutek will give you bags more power for less money????????????
Doh!
