Have an STI8 PPP with Prodrive springs and done one track day and usually drive hard and need some new pads. I have done 10K miles and they don't feel as responsive as normal.

I've heard good things about Pagid but they are pricey.

What should I go for or are pagid the best, and where is the best deal etc?

How do these differ from the standard fit ones?

Better pads differ from the standard fit ones in that they work better, pure and simple. The car will stop quicker, with more control and better pedal feel, and they'll perform more consistently when used hard,

You may find though that with better pads, the limitations of conventional brake fluid and lines may become more apparent.

Again speaking strictly personally, I use Pagid RS4-2 for quick road/track use. They're pricey, but when it comes to stopping your car, it's money well spent. There's an RS4-2.1 version as well, which is a little quieter and longer-lived.

As for good deals, Alyn from AS Performance posts on here as Stockcar, while Performance Braking on 01600 713117 will also do a very good price on Pagid pads.
