Don't want to make everyone paraniod but I think what happened to me at the weekend is worth thinking about.

Came out to the car on Sunday morning to find gob all over drivers and passenger side windows and **** on the door handles. Got screenwash out off boot to clean it off, dropped lid, looked under car - some f***ker had screwed screws into the back and front of all four tyres and left them at a 45 degree angles to the road. If I had driven off it would have punctured all four tyres. I have not upset anyone recently so I can only assume its a case of scooby envy. I remember reading somwhere about a bloke who hardwired the bodywork of his car to the battery to shock vandals, now theres a thought....

I lost three tyres to screws through the inside walls last year. It is just jealous pr*cks who should be shot.
One of the reasons I got rid of the Scoob.

Why can't people accept that these cars don't come down the chimney
from father christmas & we have to work hard to get them. We or the cars do not deserve this
sorry to hear this has happened and I hope you catch them bending down under the tyres whilst silently creeping up on them with a baseball bat in hand.

Had to park my Scooby in Hamersmith over night last Saturday ...

Serously thought about camping out in the back seat ... eventually found another way of sleeping soundly ... parked it next to a Ferarri Testarossa ...

I thought about wiring up to the battery, but then that would just **** them off, leading to even more damage.

Unhappy

It's things like this that can lead to paranoia.... I'd have been severely pi$$ed off. I've had "fortunately only one" tyre lost to a nail placed against it while parked & I've now got the habit of checking the tyres if I feel its a bit of an "iffy" area - Not sure how I define iffy area though....

Only last Saturday Scooby was parked in Gidea Park, the "respectable" end of Romford, only for me to find an egg & flour all over the windscreen. "Luckily" that all the brainless tw@ts did (who would be carrying an egg & packet of four round with them late Saturday evening anyway???) Needless to say I was a little paranoid of what else they had done - but there was nothing else a miss.

It does come down to spitefull envy - but the thankfully few occations of this are vastly outnumbered by the many admiring stares and shouts of "Nice car mate".....

Someone I know had the scoop stolen off the bonnet twice on saturday nights, so when he got the third one he cleverly stuck a couple of razor blades under the scoop...the next weekend he came out sunday morning to find the scoop still intact but a lot of blood on the bonnet... removed blades B4 anyone could prove anything, washed the car and has never had any more mindless vandalism done. not sure what the legality of doing that was though.

I new a bloke who's old banger kept getting pinched and abandoned up the road by **** heads - he put a piece of wood with long thin nails through it under the car seat covers - heard a scream one night and saw the w@nker running up the street holding his ****.

Fantastic.

Don't you just hate mindless vandalism - the twots don't even have anything to gain!

Thumbs up

So now I've got the following morning regime
1. Check outside of car
2. Crawl round on all fours looking at tyres
3. Smell door handles before touching
4. Turn off alarm
5. Take off Dislock
6. Unlock dipol
7. Turn off immobiliser
8. Keep her under 3,000 revs, till warmed up
9. Enjoy driving to wherever I'm going

Ahhh, the joys of driving an Impreza
