Had a smash in the Scooby my95 Mreg on Saturday completely gutted. Most of the damage is on the near side. Insurance but the car into Reg Vardy Notts They called to tell me that I had taken out one of the cam belt pulleys and looks like some lower arms as well. I have talked to my insurance company and arranged for Scoobyclinic to pick the car up tomorrow I have no problem with Reg Vardy but I will feel a lot better if Scoobyclinic sort the car out.
Mickjg

Scott can you post the picture of my car please if you get chance.

Looks painfull m8, hope you get the old girl sorted.
I had the same front smashed up and it was not as bad as that but they were iffy wether to write it off or not due to it being an import and getting hold of the parts.
However i put me foot down and said wanted a second opinion from an outside company, they soon changed there mind. Still took a long time to fix because of the parts. Hope this doesn't put a downer on it, i was on edge for ages but if your going a scoob specialist it sounds very promising!
All the best

Ouch!
Sorry to hear about your car, but if it makes you feel any better ScoobyClinic are the best people to do the repairs.
If you go down there and you see a R reg red scoob having a new drivers door put on, thats mine. My mum reversed into it at about 100 mph
Anyway hope you get ya scoob fixed, I know wot its like to be without it

Sad to see Mick but if it can be done, Scoobyclinic will sort it out and look on the bright-side - only the car was broken, not you !!

By the way, we're looking for a stunt cameraman for our Tour of Derbyshire - someone who can lean out of windows etc - you up for it??

kev at scoobyclinic called me to day said the it will need a engine rebuild most of the nsf leg and all that sort of things. lots and lots of other things. looking at £4000 TO £4500 to get it sorted most likely be a right off just have to wait and see what they offer me for the car. if the money i right it will be back.

I'd say it would almost certainly be a write off The damage looks quite severe and would be a close anyway, but if it's taken out a cam pulley it will of taken out a few valves too, possibly even damaging the pistons and or the heads!

Whatever the result, I hope it's all quick and painless for you

Hi Mickjg

Engine now prized out of the somewhat smaller than usual engine bay. Will be on the jig tomorrow for pulling, measuring and replacement of chassis legs, front panels etc. Should be off the jig by the end of the week all being well. Meanwhile Toplad will strip your powerplant and assess just how many valves are bent and the general condition of the engine while it is stripped. We will be taking a series of photos for you to hang on your bedroom wall. See you soon. - Kev
