If your so worried send her on one of those performace car crash courses (not literally "crash" course )
(sorry if it's been mentioned before - just can't be bothered to read the previous page )

She just keeps on at me.....on and on and on and on and on. She's even started offering.... a reward.... but am still resisting. I mean no way man, no way. She drives a Polo automatic and her mum won't even let her loose in her car (Merc SLK). And mines got PPP . She also took X goes at passing her test She's not actually that unsafe a driver, but she's got a bit of a reckless streak.....I know half the time sh's just trying to wind me up a bit, the minx. Does anyone else have this sort of grief ?!
Wilster.

Think back to when you passed your test...could you imagine jumpin straight in to a scoob!! Most girlfriends drive like they have just passed their test, no matter how many years they've bin drivin! Lethal woman + Lethal power= Lethal mistake!!

No, don't do it mate. I know exactly what you mean though. My g/f takes it really badly that I won't let her drive my car. Sorry but thirdparty insurance, zero experience of cars over 150bhp, and a tuned Impreza do not add up to happy situation.

If you let her drive it you get a reward.
If you let her drive it and she parks it up a lampost you won`t care about the reward.
Which will you miss most the car or the reward?

My wife is TERRIFIED to drive the WRX as me driving is enough for her nerves!!!! She just about copes driving my 75 BHP, 185000 mile primera.
Her Yaris has enough power for her I think - cleaning it is a big enough challenge.

Just waitin to take delivery of new WRX in a few weeks. Other half is on my insurance and she said she aint bothered about drivin it ! Sez its a man thing !
Sounds like your lady enjoys the wind up more than the chance to drice your scooby !
And why do women try to make out like the reward is ours ? Do they not get sumthin out of it ??????

How can you possibly stifle a girls passion to drive your car?
You'd moan more if she wasn't the slightest bit interested in it, I bet.
It's only a car, let her enjoy it, you might be pleasantly surprised.
I thoroughly enjoy sitting on the left while my chauffeur destroys the opposition.

fellow scooby owners,
i too walk down that road 6 months ago. initially i was strong and said no. after the "reward" became something that only exists in fantasies/movies, i let the gf drive the car. next thing i know, the car was on a flat-bed and the damage was 6k quid.
friends, be strong and say no.............

normally I'd say yes as a girlie ex-scoob owner BUT if she drives a car which is an automatic as well as seriously less powered, she isn't going to have a clue how to get the clutch sorted properly without going into orbit! So no, unless she can prove her clutch control is good and that she is capable of handling a powerful car properly.

I keep trying to get my missis to have a go in mine, on quiet roads obviously. Keep telling her how she needs to "feel the power" but shes too scared Maybe Im just lucky
I make her feel it plenty of times anyway (the power that is!) LOL
