How did u lads miss this (part 2)

couldnt resist lol
no roll cage malarky here
i have been offerd a good deal (seams dam good to me) and i need advice of the springing nature
the bloke who imported my car currently has 6 scoobys @ his disposal, now what he tends to do is bring them in, take off all the aftermarket stuff and sell them as standerd cars, which is great for him and also great for me and my mates cos we get cheap aftermarket parts, he needs sum standerd suspension for a car he has and wants sumbodys standerd springs and dampers plus £50 for a set of full on coilovers (unsure on make @ the moment)
this seams like a dam good deal for me as i was wanting to set the car up for track use and stuff (hence post on adjustable control arms kicking about suspension)
basicaly, i go up 2morow, help him swap the bits over and pay him $50 and i get coilovers, hes happy cos he has standerd parts for a car to sell and im happy cos i get coilovers
now he says these coilovers are fully adjustable, camber etc etc, he says the ride is to hard i say to myself, u can soften them down easy enough or if the worse comes to the worse, buy sum softer springs,
now the advice im after, what should i be looking for with regards to condition, he says they ovb arnt corroded as there fresh from the boat and have not seen road salt and stuff, i know to check the threads for damage, and im thinking it would be pretty easy to see if the shocks were leaking, but what else should i be looking for?
we get quite a lot of cusco stuff from him so im asuming its this kind of setup (although it could be sumthing diffrent)
i dont think the price of the parts is anything bad towards there condition, u should see how cheap his prices can be for this aftermarket stuff (i honestly think he has no idea of what sum of it is worth)
any advice regards checking coil overs?
and are the jap spec stuff to hard for uk use (this wont deter me really lol)

Hi Mick, been in a few cars with jap coilovers on and its a very bumpy ride!
yes you can soften them a little but not much, depending on type.
most have tein on i have seen, if you can handle the bumps you can have the ride hight you want
have a word with alyn at AS-PERFORMANCE about setting them up as this is crucial to get the most out of them.
do they have adjustable top mounts with them???

actualy ive just thought, im gonna need sumbody to do a 4wd geometry check becuase im wanting sum other bits as well, and i didnt really know who to have it done by
ill take it to as performance
good idea!
the plan was to fit them as they are (well there allready on a wrx so it cant be "that" far out to my car (unless its been smacked of 10 kerbs lol) then get my other bits (waiting for loads of over time from work lol) then get the 4wheel setup done

well ive got them on
£50 plus my old ones and he done most of the fitting (i drunk his cup of tea tho )
found the adjustment for daming and such on the bottom wound it all the way anticlock wise
drove away down his bumpy back lane and nearly hit my head of the roof
pretty funny cos i still had my helmet on the passenger seat (i know i know i should have worn it or sumthing lol)
car is really hard!
tried jumping on the drivers sill to see if it would budge and it wouldnt
came home and lowerd the tyre preasures to 29psi and wound the damping adjustment all the way clock wise, took it for a spin and it seams better, but this could be becuase im a little more used to it then the 1st time i drove it
did a quick search and found a pic of them for the on a american site
